Suzy is a contemporary felt artist creating illustrative and vibrant wall hangings. All her work showcases the traditional feltmaking methods: each piece is wet felted and hand rolled using inlays, mosaics and pre felts with needle felting embellishment. She layers and layers the wool tops to create depth and tone using the fibres as her palette. She strives to fuse traditional with modern, using ancient techniques to create contemporary, quirky pieces.

Influenced by great colourists such as Hundertwasser and Miro, she is inspired by exciting textures, use of colour and bold designs. Recently an award winner at the Three Shires Festival, she welcomes commissions for the home and work place. She sells her work at exhibitions / galleries around the country and through her web site or you can visit her at her studio/gallery in the Peak District.
